Rooms

The Amavi offers 140 rooms and suites, all designed with comfort and romance as paramount priorities. Color schemes are a restful, eye-pleasing tan, crème, and blue. Ground floor rooms feature four poster beds with side curtains for that extra bit of privacy. Deluxe Room Sea View

The Deluxe Rooms are the Amavi’s main room type. Color scheme is classically Mediterranean: lots of light blues, whites, pastels and light earth tones. There are coffee and tea making facilities. Marble bathroom is appointed with a full sized window for added natural light and sea views, bathtub with rain shower, first class toiletries, TV speakers, and his and hers sinks. There’s a private balcony, and the view of the sea is to die for.

Junior Suite Sea View

This suite is a definite step up in space and luxury. “More” is the watchword here: whether it’s more space, or expansive views from the terrace which wraps around two sides of the building, or privacy due to its elevated position, the Junior Suite Sea View will not disappoint. Whether it’s the premium microfiber and down pillows, the pocket spring king size mattress, full-length bathroom window affording a wonderful sea view whilst taking a relaxing bubble bath, or more prosaic items like the USB sockets and daily replenished mineral water, the Junior Suite Sea View is well worth the upgrade.

Superior Cabana with Private Garden

The Superior Cabana has a private furnished (sun beds, table and chairs) terrace garden bordered by cut limestone walls, an oval mirror with a mosaic frame, bathroom with one glass wall for superior natural lighting which can be hidden by the four poster bed curtains, and sturdy, natural wood desks and tables. Privacy is premium here, both indoors and outdoors. Terrace patio leads off to the garden and the pool area.

Superior Cabana with Private Pool

Has a furnished private terrace and a large private plunge pool. Terrace leads directly to the gardens, main pool, and restaurant. Terrace enclosed by cut limestone walls. Glass wall in the marble-clad bathroom for tons of natural light.

Food and Drink

The Amavi boasts 4 signature restaurants: the Nocturne, the Immenso, the Fort O Lana, and the Ezaria. Together they provide an incredible, wide-ranging gastronomical experience customers rave about.

The Nocturne, in the Amavi’s lower lobby,features Mediterranean-themed meals crafted by Theodor Falser, Amavi’s Michelen-starred consultant chef from Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. Dining room features tables for two, with space for two guests, a red, gold, and rich hardwood color scheme, and beautiful, unobtrusive live piano background music. Both standard and vegan menus are available, with dishes such as pan flashed scallops, beef tenderloin, and Caprese cake (almond meal, chocolate, powdered sugar) for two on offer.

The Immenso is the Amavi’s spectacular Asian-themed rooftop restaurant, where an unforgettable sunset dining experience awaits you. The sun goes down, the sky flames bright orange, red and yellow, then the stars come out, one by one, as you enjoy the company of the one you love. Menu offerings include sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and seafood and vegan poke.

Taking its name from the Paphos Medieval castle, the Fort O Lana is a Mediterranean-style terrace restaurant which gives you al fresco dining at its best. Specializing in Cypriot cuisine, Fort O Lana’s menu choices are largely locally sourced. Both vegan and traditional fair are available. Here you can sample such traditional fare as kolokithakia, sea bass, baked sausage, and, for dessert, anari cheesecake.

Ezaria is the place to go for more casual dining and to observe breakfast, lunch and dinner being put together. The restaurant is modeled after the traditional Greek trapezeria, or dining room (taking its name from the latter part of that word). You can dine indoors and enjoy the view through the floor to ceiling windows, or take your meals outdoors in the open air on the garden-bordered patio. Ezaria features a rotation of themed nights, which include French, Italian, Mexican, Asian, and Indian cuisine.

Bars

There are three bars at Kanika Amavi.

Selene (Moon) is the place for a nightcap. Classy and sophisticated, with a black and yellow fern pattern to the carpet and a tall, mirrored back bar which displays the numerous colored bottles on offer, Selene feels a little moon-like in its atmosphere. Most evenings you can listen to live music as you sip your favorite cocktail and watch the dexterous stylings of Selene’s expert mixologist.

The Sapphire Pool Bar is Selene’s polar opposite- here it’s all about augementing your day of fun in the sun with a cooling beer, refreshing soft drink or sparking water, or a colorful cocktail. There’s both swim-up and lounge service. Add a snack to your beverage and your day is complete.

The Lounge bar is light and airy, with a similar fern design in the carpet, except the color scheme is sky blue and white. Relax in on of the bar’s wingback chairs and watch the wind in the fronds of the palms, with the blue of the sea in the background. The Lounge serves double duty as both a bar and coffee shop. Enjoy the fresh air of the Lounge’s veranda as you sip your French coffee, soft drink, or alcoholic beverage.

Spa and Wellness

Evera Spa and Wellness offers you a holistic and rejuvenating spa experience aimed at restoring balance in both mind and body with the resulting sense of peace, well-being, and peak physical health. Take advantage of the couples’ treatment rooms to go on your journey to health and wellness in tandem. Consultation with your spa expert allows you to tailor your spa experience to your needs. There are treatment and relaxation rooms, a sauna, a steam bath, and an indoor pool with a deck providing a nice view of the sea.

The Evera Couples’ Ritual offers a full body massage followed by a complete facial treatment to leave your skin supple, elastic and glowing with health. Or you can also indulge in the Restore and Revitalise treatment, consisting of a full-body scrub, full-body wrap, signature massage and facials. There are many other treatments, such as the Golden Glow and the Soft Sensation body treatment. Exipilation (waxing) services, make up, and nail care are also available.

Pools

There are three beautiful pools at the Amavi, each with a little different leisure emphasis. There is also a public Blue Flag beach just steps away from the hotel. The Saphire Pool is an expanse of palm tree-bordered blue water which merges into the waters of the Mediterranean. It has a swim up bar and abundant lazy loungers.

The Evera Outdoor Pool offers lots of swimming space for your water workout. The pool is bordered by tropical greenery which provide additional privacy. There are whirlpool and back massagers, with dedicated poolside waiters available for whatever needs you have. The Evera Indoor Pool is available whatever the weather conditions out of doors, providing a place of exercise, relaxation, and fun. The pool is closer to the guest rooms than the outdoor pools, making it that much more convenient to use.

In the Area

Paphos is a UNESCO World Heritage site, one of about 900 such sites in the world. The criteria for such sites are those having “cultural, historical, scientific or other form of significance.” Some of those having such significance in Paphos include Old Paphos, now called Kouklia, on a hill east of the modern city, the traditional birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love. Remains of the ancient city and its sanctuary can be viewed. The Paphos Archeological Park includes the ruins of four large Roman-era villas with well-preserved mosaic floors.

The Paphos pedestrian boulevard on the seafront is famous for its beauty and makes for a pleasant walk in the cool of a summer evening. Paphos Segway Tours take you to all the famous sites in the city and environs, which has been likened to an open-air museum.

The Paphos Castle is a must see, as well as St. Paul’s Pillar, where Church tradition holds that the Apostle Paul was flogged 39 times by the Roman Proconsul of Cyprus, Sergius Paulus, after which he himself converted to Christianity after Elymas the sorcerer was struck blind after trying to discourage Sergius Paulus from the faith.

Paphos is full of restaurants and night spots for those desiring a little nightlife. There are all kinds of tours, both on land and sea , available for sightseers wishing to have a broader view of the environs of this historical city.

The Paphos Aphrodite Water Park provides hours of fun in the sun on its slides, tunnels and pools. An introductory course in Scuba Diving can also he had in the Discover Scuba Diving tour, during which octopuses and sea turtles can be encountered in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.
