Louis Hotels’ King Jason Paphos is a 4-star, adults-only hotel and resort in Paphos, southwest Cyprus, population 90,000. The resort is a short walk from harbour of this mid-sized city which has a great deal of cultural and historical significance to offer to its visitors, not least of which is one of the most favorable climates in the entire Mediterranean.

The hotel has 127 rooms, 4 swimming pools, some of which are heated. With the recent addition of Executive Suites, King Jason now offers 4 different room types. Public areas are improved and extended every year. Its restaurants’ and bars’ menus are always in the process of being extended and improved, with special offerings such as gluten-free and dairy-free meals on offer. As proof of the high quality of service, repeat customers number just slightly half of all visitors (40-45%). Pets are allowed, but it’s best to call first.
King Jason has a solid commitment to environmental concerns, including the recycling of all materials from glass and paper up to batteries and used cooking oil. Even destroyed linens are re-purposed as cleaning rags. Water is served in glass.

Superior Studio
32m2 (about 340 sq. ft.)Sleeps 2. There are 15 available. Its open floor plan combines the living and sleeping areas. There is one king-size bed, or two twins, and a sofa bed for guests. It has a kitchen area with a cabinet-mounted microwave and an under counter mini-fridge.
Deluxe Studio
35m2 (about 375 sq. ft.) Sleeps 2. Features include exposed-beam ceilings, porcelain mini chandeliers, and corian countertops.
One-Bedroom Suite
42m2 (about 450 sq. ft.)Sleeps up to 4. There are 62 of these suites available. There are two living room sofa beds. The main bedroom is separate from the living room for privacy. The toilet and bathroom are shared.
Executive Suite
50m2 (about 540 sq. ft.). Sleeps 2. These roomy suites have a generous living area and are the largest suites on offer at the King Jason. Furniture is stylishly modern. These suites are what you want when you desire something above the ordinary.
Food and Drink
The Piatakia Restaurant serves buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The restaurant has a pleasant blue and white décor with buff blue upholstered chairs and tables for two that can be pushed together to serve more than two diners.
Food choices are prominently and colorfully displayed and live cooking stations allow you to see the meal prep in real time. Special menus are on offer including such options as vegetarian and gluten-free meals. In addition to regular meal times, daytime a la carte snacks are available, as well as afternoon tea and chocolate.
The Pool Bar offers both table and counter service and a wide selection of beers, wines, cocktails, missed drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Spa and Wellness
The Sana Health Club is equipped with cardio machines and body sculpting machines so help you maintain your beach body whilst you enjoy your holiday. You’re free to pursue your favorite exercise regimen, and afterwards you can have an individualized sauna and steam bath treatment for free.

In the Area
As previously mentioned, Paphos is a UNESCO World Heritage site, one of about 900 such sites in the world. The criteria for such sites are those having “cultural, historical, scientific or other form of significance.” Some of those having such significance in Paphos include Old Paphos, now called Kouklia, on a hill east of the modern city, the traditional birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love. Remains of the ancient city and its sanctuary can be viewed. The Paphos Archeological Park includes the ruins of four large Roman-era villas with well-preserved mosaic floors.
The Paphos pedestrian boulevard on the seafront is famous for its beauty and makes for a pleasant walk in the cool of a summer evening. Paphos Segway Tours take you to all the famous sites in the city and environs, which has been likened to an open-air museum.
The Paphos Castle is a must see, as well as St. Paul’s Pillar, where Church tradition holds that the Apostle Paul was flogged 39 times by the Roman Proconsul of Cyprus, Sergius Paulus, after which he himself converted to Christianity after Elymas the sorcerer was struck blind after trying to discourage Sergius Paulus from the faith.
