The Royal Apollonia can be found in the approximate center of Limassol’s beautiful seafront on the southern coast of Cyprus. Limassol, considered Cyprus’ most cosmopolitan city, has a wealth of restaurants, bars, and points of interest all within walking distance of the Royal Apollonia.

The beach is superb, and the swimming pool is a massive 500-meter island-shaped work of art. Winner of multiple Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice awards and other environmentally sustainable awards, The Royal Apollonia is a memory in the making for both couple and families.

The resort has recently undergone a complete renovation of its 204 rooms, as well as its 13 suites. As of February 23, 2023, all of its public areas (lobby, bar, restaurants) will have undergone a total makeover, giving an atmosphere of upgraded elegance throughout the facility. In addition to the large main pool, there is an indoor pool and a childrens’ pool. The resort offers accessibility options such as wheelchair-accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible path of travel. Three restaurants, a state of the art spa, water sports facilities, and LifeFitness-equipped gym complete the picture, the elements of which add up to a perfect holiday stay.

Guests love its proximity to downtown Limassol and its airport, the staff’s attention to detail and friendliness towards children, the spotless grounds and pool area, the wide breakfast choices, housekeeping’s efforts to keep rooms bright and clean, and zippy Wi-Fi.

In the Area

In 2014 Limassol was rated #3 in the world in its “up and coming in the world” destination category on its list of Top 10 Travelers’ Destinations of the Rise list, and for good reason. At 283,000 metro area, Limassol is the second-largest city on the island after Nicosia. The city features extensive ruins from its archaic era, with graves discovered dating back to 2000 BC.

Favorite destinations in Limassol include its Medieval castle and museum, the beaches of the Akrotiri Peninsula, and the spectacular Greco-Roman ruins of Ancient Kourion, whose history goes back to the Neolithic Age. The sights of Limossol’s Old Town (where you’ll find the castle) are all must-see and include the Limassol Cathedral, and the diminutive Grand Mosque.

The city centre is also home to all kinds of night life options; its bars and restaurants and entertainment venues are some of the best in the Mediterranean and what make the modern city so attractive to young visitors. There are plenty of boat tours available, as well as the Fasouri Watermania Water Park for family fun. Limassol’s seafront promenade is scenic and beautiful, and is also decorated with 20 sculptures to enjoy along the way. Limassol Zoo doesn’t just house animals; it is also an animal refuge, research center, and breeding center for rare species to be then introduced to the wild.
