The Olivar Suites

You’ll find the newly-built 5-star Olivar Suites Hotel in the village of Messonghi, close to the mid-point of Corfu’s beautiful east coast, about 20km south of Corfu Town.

The centerpiece of this luxury beachfront boutique hotel is an 18^th century olive mill. The newer buildings surrounding the mill cleverly mimic its native stone and stucco architecture, and as many olive trees as possible from the surrounding orchard were preserved during construction and now decorate the grounds of the hotel.

This respect for the original environment of the building site is reflected in the placement of the suites which is similar to the layout of a Corfiot village, with complete privacy of each suite a priority, and the olive tree being used as a motif throughout the complex. The hotel is no higher than two floors, making all rooms highly accessible.

Suites

120 suites are available, each of them tailor-made for privacy, access to your pool, and a relaxing, natural environment among the olive trees. All of the suites have an indoor-outdoor configuration, offering either a private pool with a garden or sun deck.

Interior spaces are decorated in muted earth tones designed for your comfort and that at-home feeling.

Executive Suite with Private Pool

Designed for maximum space and comfort, the Executive Suites invites peace, quiet and relaxation in an architecturally harmonious environment reflective of Corfiot home design. Floor to ceiling windows look out on your private terrace and pool. Some gardens have their own olive tree.

Two-bedroom Corfiot Suite with Private Pool

This roomy 2-bedroom suite sleeps up to 4 with a spacious private terrace and pool. Its spare, uncluttered design mirrors that of dwellings on Corfu. You can bring the whole family to enjoy this suite and still have room to spare.

Premier Suite with Private Pool

Make your escape to this suite boasting a private pool and terrace, lots of interior space to spread out, and serene, muted earth-tone décor. This large suite can accommodate up to 3 people. The exterior has a nice grassy garden, your own private pool, and a large terrace, all the ingredients you need for an unforgettable luxury vacation.

Riviera Suite with Sea View

Opening the drapes at the foot of your bed in the morning reveals a room-width panoramic picture window with the azure Ionian Sea filling your field of vision. A sliding glass door to one side of the room leads to upholstered sun beds. This private suite’s terrace leads directly to the beautiful golden sands of the beach.

With this largest available suite you get your own gazebo on the beach, a private pool, terrace, and ancient olive trees in your garden. The suite has two rooms, two bathrooms, and the perfect luxury environment for couples and families. The beach is just a few steps away from the terrace and garden. Or you can relax on the upholstered sun beds. The main bedroom has a bathroom with a tub and shower.

Food and Drink

The Olivar Suites offers the very best in fine dining as well as a unique twist on traditional Corfiot dishes and culture.

Flya Restaurant by Olivar

Head chef Spyros Agious (formerly head chef of the famous Grace Santorini boutique hotel) oversees the Flya Restaurant’s creative Mediterranean menu which makes abundant use of locally sourced products and the finest Corfiot virgin olive oil.

Visits by guest chefs and mixologists are regular events, and there is a fire pit for al fresco, starlit evenings, as well as pop-up kitchens filling the air with the aroma of grilled fresh-caught seafood.

The breakfast menu includes fluffy Cretan pancakes with myzithra goat whey cheese and thyme blossom honey, bain-marie style poached eggs with roasted tomatoes in sauce and basil pesto, and the renowned strapatsada- eggs with garden fresh tomatoes, spinach, toasted sourdough, and charcuterie noubooulo, a traditionally prepared Corfiot thin-sliced meat dish.

Lunch and dinner times offerings include freshly-shucked oysters with a jigger of ouzo, rockfish risotto and savory mushrooms, Thesauri caviar, extra virgin olive oil, and tapioca.

Olibar

The old olive mill on the beach has been renovated and houses the all-day Olibar, preserving its rustic exposed beams and the exposed machinery of the olive press. There are a wide variety of snacks and drinks to suit every palate. Indulge in some liquid refreshment and appetizers in this laid-back retro environment.

You can partake of local, award-winning beer, or a cocktail mixed with the finest local ingredients by an experienced mixologist.
